The official net height varies by gender. The volleyball net is positioned vertically above the centre line, with the top edge at 2.43 m for men and 2.24 m for women. 4. Net material and thickness

5. What is the difference between DVV, DVV 1 and DVV 2 nets?
Before you buy a volleyball net, it’s important to define the area of use. DVV nets are suitable for school and recreational sport. Unlike DVV 1 and DVV 2 nets, they have a 50 mm wide top edging band and, at the bottom, only side edgings for attaching the antennas. They can still be used as tournament nets in lower leagues. Nets with the DVV 2 mark are suitable for upper, regional and association leagues. Please also observe the specific regulations of the regional associations. For international competitions, the national league and regional league, volleyball nets with the DVV 1 mark are approved. Volleyball nets with the DVV 1 mark have a 6-point suspension, while DVV 2 and DVV nets are supplied with a 4-point suspension.Good to know: The same requirements apply to beach volleyball tournament nets as to indoor volleyball tournament nets.
