On any playground, climbing rope ladders or climbing ropes is a fun motor challenge for kids. It takes quite a bit of skill to reach the play tower via the rope ladder. Climbing ropes don’t stay still – they twist and swing under the child’s weight, so little climbers really have to work to conquer each rung. This way, rope ladders train children’s motor skills and add extra variety to any play structure.

What to consider when installing rope ladders

For a free-hanging rope ladder, the distance to the ground must always be checked. Ground clearance is defined by EN standards and specified in the assembly instructions. The minimum distance to the next fixed play element must also be observed during installation. All climbing ropes and rope ladders in the Sport-Thieme range are made from Hercules rope, which is particularly robust thanks to its steel or multifil core and offers high rigidity. Rope ladders made from Hercules rope are extremely tear-resistant and durable.
