The Stramatel "SCX12" shot clock: FIBA-approved
The Stramatel "SCX12" shot clock is a 12-second countdown timer, displaying ball possession in basketball. It is designed for outdoor use, but the control panel and charger must not be exposed to bad weather. The ball-proof, anti-glare polycarbonate front makes the time easy to read even in bright sunlight. Transportation is easy too, thanks to the carry case included. The scoreboard is level 3 FIBA-certified and approved. On request, we can also provide the Stramatel 24-second shot clock with FIBA level 2 & 1 approval (Bundesliga).
Display:- 12-second attack time: 2 red digits (23 cm)
- End of attack time: 1 red dot (5 cm)
Shot clock rule introduced in 2014
In 2014, FIBA amended some official basketball rules, including that the 24-second shot clock be reset to 14 seconds in specific instances.
This means, you must be able to set your shot clock to display a 24-second or a 14-second countdown timer by pressing the relevant button.
The new-generation 452-series Stramatel shot clocks already have this feature. The control panels of the shot clocks manufactured before 2013 must be converted. Please contact us for a quote if you need help with this.
Introduced in October 2019
Since October 2019, the last 5 ball possession seconds shall not be displayed in seconds but tenths of seconds.
