The Airex "Atlas" exercise mat is made of strong, closed-cell and latex-free foam. It is particularly skin-friendly, keeps the body warm and boasts excellent shock-absorption properties. The Airex hygienic finish (with the active, biocidal substance folpet) provides long-lasting and reliable protection against bacterial and fungal infestations. The finish also means that the mat can quickly and easily be cleaned using lukewarm water and a mild detergent. Thanks to its large size and high level of buoyancy, the mat can be used in water too, making it an excellent choice for physiotherapy and rehabilitation. The mat is available in a choice of 2 colours: red and green.

The 1.25-m-long "Atlas" exercise mat is the longest and widest exercise mat in the the Airex range. Compared to other Airex mats, it does not have rounded corners and does not have a closed seam around the edges. This creates an advantage for group exercises and classes, as a number of "Atlas" mats can be placed next to each other to form a larger matted area, providing children or people with a disability with a warm and wipe-clean surface to play on.

The thickness of an exercise mat relates to the mat's core. Due to manufacturing methods, the mat may be thinner at the edges than in the middle.
