The sensors are worn on the shins and document the athlete’s running performance. The wearables assess the runner’s movements and loads on their body based on how they rotate their legs. Parameters assessed include the athlete’s left/right balance, i.e. if they are using one foot/leg more so than the other. The sensors capture 256 measurements per second, transmitting the data to the free SensoRun app on the user’s smartphone or similar. The data can be tracked in real time and stored for subsequent analysis. Key metrics include cadence, contact times, left/right balance, speed, distance, steps, steps/min., altitude, cumulative shock (per leg), max. load per leg, pronation excursion, and pronation velocity.
