Pedalo "S8 Arch Stretch" foot gym: keeping the arches of your feet in shape
The arches of your feet are essential for your feet to function properly, as they act as ‘shock absorbers’. The foot has a longitudinal and a transverse arch, meaning that the weight of your body is carried by 3 points: the heel, the metatarsophalangeal joint (ball of the big toe) and the metatarsophalangeal joint (ball of the little toe). The sinking of the foot arch, e.g. flat foot, splay-foot or fallen arches, will cause foot complaints to develop. Particularly high arches, known as hollow feet, will result in problems too. Keeping the arches of your feet in shape is therefore of paramount importance.
