The speed of the shuttle is marked by a coloured strip on the cork base. The following speeds are available:

• Red = fast, white skirt

Rule of thumb on choosing shuttles
In warm halls, regular shuttles with a medium or slow speed are required. In larger and cold halls you play with a quick shuttle.
